Summer Fun!

With the weather warming up, kids getting out of school, and summer kicking into full speed, many families find themselves wondering what fun and low cost activities might be available to them. Luckily, there are many programs available for military families to stay plenty busy this summer!

Blue Star Museums

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve. The 2023 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2023 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023. National Parks Pass

The National Park Service, in partnership with Operation Live Well, would like to thank military personnel and their families for their service and invite them to enjoy their national parks. The free Military Pass is a way to thank current US military members and their dependents, Gold Star Families, and US military veterans for their support of our country and to encourage them to explore recreational opportunities on their public lands and waters. A free lifetime Military Pass is available for Gold Star Families and US military veterans. A free annual Military Pass is available for current US military members and their dependents. Waves of Honor

Wave of Honors is a program that provides free entry for active duty families to nearly a dozen theme parks around the country including Sea World, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place and more.
