Staycation Ideas

Sometimes the best adventures are found close to home. Military bases often host events and activities that are perfect for families. Make sure to sign up for monthly newsletters and keep an eye on the MWR Event Calendars through your base’s website. You can also plan a staycation to explore local attractions outside of the base, like the State or County Fair, parks, or catch a movie. No matter what you choose to do, staycations are a great way to relax and enjoy quality time without the stress of travel.

Movie Theaters (AMC, Cinemark, Regal): Many theater chains offer military discounts on tickets. Check local listings for participation.

Topgolf: Offers a Hero’s Discount for military (active duty and veterans), police, fire, and EMS personnel.
