Wreaths Across America 2024

If you’ve been following us for any amount of time, you likely know of our beloved partnership with Wreaths Across America (WAA). But, for those who may be new here, WAA is a non-profit whose mission statement is to “Remember, Honor, and Teach”. They honor our nation’s fallen heroes by having volunteers across the country place wreaths on our veteran’s graves around the holiday season. Our partnership with WAA includes promoting their mission to help fundraise wreaths and, as an added plus, we receive a portion of the donations back to support our own nonprofit’s mission. 

Each year, we’ve raised our fundraising goal, challenging our community to sponsor more wreaths, and this year we set an ambitious goal to sponsor 500! Boy, did our Military No Stress PCS community show up! Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our supporters, we’ve far exceeded this target – sponsoring 2,240+ wreaths! We are deeply moved by this outpouring show of support from our partners, followers, friends, and families. The success of our WAA campaign is a representation of not only a donation, but a share in the commitment to honor our military members. We’ve seen donations come in from individuals, families, and even groups who wanted to show support. This year, our community’s generosity has surpassed anything we could have imagined. We’re thrilled to know that many more veterans will have wreaths placed in their honor. 

The wreaths sponsored through our MNSPCS link will be distributed to cemeteries close to our team, such as Culpeper National Cemetery in Virginia and the Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Florida, to name a few. Our team has made WAA an annual tradition with their own families and children, staying true to the “Teach” part of WAA’s mission. Every wreath placed is a reminder that each name on a headstone represents a story of courage and sometimes even the ultimate sacrifice. It’s a way to honor anyone who has served and to show the younger generations the importance of respecting those who have defended our freedoms.

For Military No Stress PCS, partnering with Wreaths Across America is a natural extension of our mission. Our mission is to serve and support the U.S. Armed Forces in every way we can, from relocation assistance to finding resources that help make military life easier. Through WAA, we have an opportunity to give back in a different way, to show that even when service members are no longer with us, we will continue to serve those who have served.

As we look forward to the upcoming Wreaths Across America Day this December, we invite anyone who feels moved to join us in honoring our veterans. While it’s too late to buy a wreath for 2024, there are still ways you can get involved. If you’d like to help lay the wreaths, visit WAA’s website to find a participating cemetery near you. If you can’t make the wreath laying ceremony, you can join the cleanup event that is held in January. This event is just as important as the initial ceremony, ensuring that our veteran’s graves are kept clean and respectable.
